Ahead of this Friday’s visit to Real Salt Lake (Unimás, 6:00 p.m. MT), here are 10 things that you may, or may not, have known.
1. The first MLS game involving Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake took place at Rice-Eccles Stadium on April 16, 2005. RSL took the honors 1-0, thanks to a goal from Brian Dunseth nine minutes from time. The Rapids team that day included Nat Borchers, Kyle Beckerman and Ritchie Kotschau - three players who would go on to play for RSL. Clint Mathis featured for RSL. He would spend the 2006 season in Colorado.
