The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced on Thursday the return of former captain and “Switchback Original” Rony Argueta. The midfielder played for the Switchbacks from 2015-2017 before spending 2018 with the USL Fresno Foxes FC.
In his three years with the Switchbacks, the 27-year-old Argueta became a fan favorite, notching 4 goals in 84 appearances and being named the Back Chat Young Player of the Year in 2016. While with the Foxes, he scored three goals in 23 appearances. Following the 2018 season, Fresno chose not to pick up the option on his contract, and Colorado Springs were eager to welcome him back.
