Following their second successive 0-0 draw, the Rapids head to Canada this weekend to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
Tim Howard’s first match came last weekend on the 4th of July, and while the Rapids may not have ended with three points, two important saves from the veteran USMNT goalkeeper helped to shut out the Portland Timbers for the first time this season.
Vancouver’s last outing was also on Independence Day, but they fell 2-0 in LA. The loss brought the Whitecap’s record to 7-8-3 on the season, placing them at sixth in the West.
