Colorado Rapids Soccer Club announced today that midfielder Sam Hamilton has been loaned to Phoenix Rising FC of the United Soccer League (USL).
Per the Right of Recall incorporated in the loan agreement, Colorado retains the right to recall Hamilton at any point during the remainder of the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
Hamilton, 22, was signed to a contract on March 4, after being selected in the first round (15th overall) of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of Denver.
Prior to joining the Rapids, Hamilton captained the DU Pioneers to the NCAA Semifinals, following a second successive unbeaten regular season.
