RUMOR: Rapids to sign Rangers CB Danny Wilson

The Rapids have been using the marketing tagline ‘Strength at Altitude’ for the past several seasons. But they might want to rebrand with an alternative phrase: strength along the backline.

The Scottish broadsheet ‘The Sun’ is reporting that the Colorado Rapids are about to acquire 26-year-old center back Danny Wilson from Scottish Premier League club Rangers FC.

The 6’2” defender has played at center back and left back for Rangers this year. After coming up with Rangers in their youth academy and joining the senior team at 18 years old for the 2009-10 season, he was sold off to EPL juggernaut Liverpool in 2010.
