The Colorado Rapids U23 conceded in the final minute on Friday night resulting in a 3-3 draw with BYU at Smith Fieldhouse, South Field.
Chris Martienz’s men dominated most of the possession in the first half and Nathan Braaten gave the Rapids the early lead in the third minute after getting a head on a corner kick from Noah Bushey that ultimately found the back of the net.
The Rapids extended their lead in the 33rd minute, as Jaret Townsend scored off a rebounded shot from Andre Shiniyashiki.
The Cougars picked up momentum in the 47th minute when they cut the Rapids’ lead in half.
