COMMERCE CITY — The Rapids are girding for a major challenge Saturday afternoon in the heat and humidity of central Florida, taking on an Orlando City team with the best record in MLS and a forward that is turning heads on both sides of the Atlantic.
Cyle Larin stands second in MLS scoring with six goals in as many games. A 22-year-old native of Canada in his third MLS season, the 6-foot-2 striker is attracting feelers from English Premier League teams.
“He has everything you would want in a prototypical nine (striker), which is good size, good hold-up play,” said Rapids coach Pablo Mastroeni.
