COMMERCE CITY — Niki Jackson could be part of the future at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. But first, he’ll need to earn his stripes away from Colorado.
The 23-year-old forward is on loan to the Charlotte Independence of the USL, giving him a chance to see more time on the field. It’s an opportunity Jackson’s been taking full advantage of recently, with two goals and an assist in his last three games.
“It’s been tough not being with the club but I try to look at the bright side of things and that’s me getting playing time and exposure,” Jackson said.
