Luis Solignac’s first-ever goal for the Colorado Rapids helped carry the club to its second home win of the season, bringing the team’s record to 2-1-1. Following the dismissal of Toronto FC’s Benoit Cheyrou after the midfielder received two yellow cards in quick succession, Solignac converted a chipped pass from Marco Pappa into the eventual game-winner.
Solignac’s first goal for the Rapids landed the Argentine striker on this week’s ballot for MLS AT&T Goal of the Week. See the rest of this week’s contestants below, and be sure to cast your vote for Solignac on MLSsoccer.com.
