Rapids extend unbeaten streak to seven games with 1-1 tie in Columbus

The Rapids' unbeaten run is still alive.

Despite going down a goal in the first half, Colorado (7-2-3) battled back with a Kevin Doyle second-half equalizer to grind out a 1-1 draw against the struggling Columbus Crew (2-4-4) in Ohio.

The tie extended MLS-leading Colorado's unbeaten run to seven games. With a road point, Colorado maintained its lead in the Western Conference and the Supporters' Shield standings with 24 points in 12 games.

With Colorado playing its third game in eight days, coach Pablo Mastroeni opted to start defender Jared Watts in central defense in place of Bobby Burling.
