The Rapids had three players named to the MLS Team of the Week (Week 27) presented by Audi after their respective performances against Seattle Sounders FC on September 7.
Andre Shinyashiki cemented himself in the MLS Rookie of the Year conversation as he scored both of the Rapids goals in the 2-0 win over Seattle. The 22-year-old striker started off the scoring right before halftime, as he found the back of the net from tight angle off a beautiful layoff from Jonathan Lewis. The rookie scored his second of the night, and his seventh on the season, after Keegan Rosenberry found him wide open in front of net in the 70th minute to double the lead for the home side.
