Match Preview: Colorado Rapids get ready to take on the Seattle Sounders FC on the road

The Colorado Rapids arrive in Seattle on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run. They went to the top of the Supporters’ Shield after the 2-2 draw at the Montreal Impact on April 30 and ground out enough points to stay there ever since.

That result in Quebec and last Saturday’s point at Columbus say as much about Pablo Mastroeni’s side as their six straight wins at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

The head coach was a heart-on-his-sleeve, backs-against-the-wall kind of midfielder. His side have displayed similar qualities on the road this season.

However, the Rapids’ record is rather unbalanced 6-0-0 at home and 1-2-3 away.
