Within hours of being sent on loan to USL neighbors Colorado Springs Switchbacks, rookie striker Niki Jackson was taking to the field in a contest with Seattle Sounders FC 2 at Weidner Field.
Jackson, who scored the opening goal of the 2018 season for the Rapids in a 2-1 loss at New England, came off the bench for the final 35 minutes of a chippy 0-0 draw, in which both sides had a man sent off.
The Switchbacks move to 3-3-1 overall, and lie seventh in the Western Conference.
