Earlier this week on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Colorado Rapids midfielder Kellyn Acosta announced that he has partnered with Martin Luther King III and the Drum Major Institute to launch the #KellynAcostaSweepstakes.
The Drum Major Institute is dedicated to “continuing the unparalleled legacy of Dr. King by fostering a culture of nonviolence and active participation in our democracy.” It was founded by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Harry Wachtel (Dr. King’s lawyer) and is today run by Martin Luther King III, Arndrea Waters King, and their daughter Yolanda Renee King.
