Goalkeeper John Berner is now in his third season as a professional soccer player with the Colorado Rapids. He started the first three games of his rookie year, before spending time at Charlotte Independence in 2015. With USL minutes under his belt, Berner is now seeking to add to his minutes in MLS, as he told Richard Clarke.
How much were you able to do in preseason with your injury?
It was tough. I had surgery on my wrist on November 4, so obviously it was the offseason, it was a good time to get it taken care of, and I was hoping to be able to be a little more integrated throughout the preseason, but it just didn't heal as quickly as I would’ve hoped for.
