The Colorado Rapids USL affiliate Charlotte Independence kicked off a three-game home stand with a 2-2 draw against Toronto FC II this past Saturday.
Down 2-0 after 36 minutes, Charlotte fought back with two goals from Jorge Herrera. The match was called off in the 73rd minute due to inclement weather, but not before Rapids’ loanee John Berner made a crucial safe to keep the score tied at two.
