Who saw this coming?
The Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City got together for the first of three MLS matches in 2016 tonight at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas. For the Rapids it was the end of a quick two game road trip and for Sporting it is a return home after a trip to New Jersey.
The first half, and if I am being honest, was remarkably boring. The two teams played like they were scared of one another and passed the ball around a lot with neither team really having any clear cut chances until the 41st minute when the Rapids drew first blood.
