The Colorado Rapids and Columbus Crew SC took to the pitch under gloomy and chilly skies at MAPFRE stadium on Saturday night for the Rapids and while it was not the best performance you will ever see, it was another result for the Rapids. With the 1-1 tie, the Rapids are 7-2-3 (24 points, 2.0 PPG) and still are top of the table in MLS.
The first half the Rapids looked quite sluggish which appeared to be a direct result of three games in eight days. Although they controlled more of the ball, they rarely threatened the Columbus goal.
