The Colorado Rapids played a bad game and extended their losing streak to six in a loss to the Seattle Sounders this afternoon.
First Half
The Rapids started the game looking disjointed. The Sounders easily pressured them and Colorado wasn’t really getting anywhere. In the 16th minute, Anthony Hudson decided to sub in Niki Jackson for Nana Boateng. There didn’t appear to be anything wrong with Boateng, and it makes you wonder if maybe a sub was wasted because Hudson didn’t choose the best starting XI in the first place?
Seattle continued to bring pressure and in the 22nd minute, Nicolás Lodeiro crossed the ball in the box near the penalty spot, where Raúl Ruidíaz was waiting, completely unmarked.
