The Colorado Rapids saw FC Dallas for the second time already in this young MLS season Saturday night as both teams donned the Primeblue adidas kits in partnership with Parley for ocean awareness. The Rapids were forced into two changes to the usual lineup, with Younes Namli still out injured and Kellyn Acosta away with the USMNT. Nicolas Mezquida and Jonathan Lewis stepped in as “next man up.”
It was FC Dallas on the front foot in the early minutes as they were able to put plenty of balls into forward positions of the Rapids penalty area; however, the chances were wasted for the most part.
