COMMERCE CITY —
After 41 minutes of scoreless soccer in Seattle on Saturday night, Rapids striker Kevin Doyle ran toward Sounders defender Brad Evans and with one deft touch stole the ball from him near the sideline.
Seattle had controlled the game to that point, but Doyle raced toward the goal keen on giving the Rapids a lead. Evans recovered, but Doyle managed to win a corner kick. A minute later, Colorado took a 1-0 lead on Axel Sjoberg's header off a corner.
