For the second time this month, the Colorado Rapids have acquired a New Zealand international wing back.
The club announced Thursday it had added Deklan Wynne from Vancouver Whitecaps FC in exchange for $100,000 in targeted allocation money.
The 22-year-old reunites with his former national team coach Anthony Hudson, who last month took over as the Rapids’ head coach.
“Top-level left sided players can be tough to find,” Rapids sporting director and interim general manager Padraig Smith said in a news release. “But in Deklan we believe we’ve found someone who has the technical gifts and the aggression to be a long-term solution for us.
