Colorado Rapids announced today that defender Joe Greenspan will be available for selection on July 4. Greenspan, an ensign in the U.S. Navy, has been given an assignment in the Denver area and was granted permission to rejoin the Rapids.
“We are happy to have Joe back with us in Colorado,” said Paul Bravo, VP of Soccer Operations and Technical Director. “We have always worked with the Navy to respect the commitment he made to his country. We would like to thank them for allowing Joe to continue to pursue his professional dreams.”
“I would like to thank the Navy for their flexibility in allowing me to rejoin the Colorado Rapids while continuing my service,” Greenspan added.
