COMMERCE CITY — One of coach Pablo Mastroeni‘s priorities in the preseason was to revamp an attacking philosophy that had the Rapids ranked near the bottom of MLS scoring last season, but so far the new tactical scheme has failed to increase scoring.
After six games the Rapids (1-4-1) rank last in scoring (five goals), shots (48) and shots on goal (15). This week they face a tough road trip to Orlando (5-1), which has the best record in the league and a striker in Cyle Larin that has outscored Colorado with six goals in as many games.
