The Colorado Rapids went on the road for leg one of the Western Conference Finals against the Seattle Sounders and put in a good performance. They lost the match 2-1 but are in a good position for leg 2 on Sunday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
The scoring started early in the match when Kevin Doyle scored on the deflection to give the Rapids a 1-0 lead. The dummy by Shkelzen Gashi was brilliant too. The lead was short-lived when Jordan Morris put the rebound in just six minutes later. The final goal came on a penalty kick by Nicolas Lodeiro just after the hour mark.
