The Colorado Rapids went into Frisco, Texas, after falling further behind FC Dallas the last couple of weeks in the standings, almost in a must-win situation if they wanted to have any chance at the supporters shield. And they did win, beating FC Dallas 1-0.
It was a pretty uneventful first half. The Rapids hanging back in a defensive shield and FC Dallas thinking of the US Open Cup final on Tuesday.
The Rapids scored their goal off a throw-in. Sebastien Le Toux threw it in to Dominique Badji who was able to run to the center of the pitch and got a great shot off at the top of the box for the goal.
