The Colorado Rapids (1-1-2, 5 points) host defending league champion Toronto FC (1-2-0, 3 points) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Here are six things to know:
Familiar foe. The Rapids have seen a lot of the Reds this year, after their two-leg CONCACAF Champions League series in late February, won by Toronto. Rapids centerback Tommy Smith told MLSSoccer.com he anticipates a competitive match since both sides know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
Short rest. Toronto enters the match on a short week, having played Tuesday to a 1-1 draw with Club America at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City in a Champions League semifinal match.
