On the second and final day of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, Colorado Rapids Soccer Club continued their off-season overhaul with the selections of University of San Diego goalkeeper Thomas Olsen, UCLA midfielder Brian Iloski, and Grand Canyon University forward Niki Jackson.
Olsen comes to Commerce City following a standout career in San Diego. Originally a walk-on, Olsen soon took the West Coast Conference (WCC) by storm, earning Freshman of the Year honors in 2014 – an accolade which helped the Las Vegas native earn on a spot on the US National Team for the 2015 U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
