COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Colorado Rapids announced today that midfielder Emmanuel Appiah has rejoined the club from Rapids’ USL affiliate Charlotte Independence of the United Soccer League (USL).
“We monitored Emmanuel’s progress during his time on loan with Charlotte and we believe that this was a good time to bring him back to the first team in the short-term to strengthen our squad," said Paul Bravo, VP of Soccer Operations and Technical Director.
Appiah, 22, was selected by the Rapids in the first round (15th overall) of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft after spending the past five years at the University of Cincinnati.
