Halftime was the point at which the Colorado Rapids tried to get things figured out.
Perhaps, more accurately, ironed out.
They were on the right track in the first 45 minutes. But truly getting the upper hand on Orlando City SC required more precision, more intensity, more persistence. And despite pushing harder the second half, the Rapids could not find the back of the net and settled for a 0-0 draw on Saturday night at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
Orlando was a disjointed defensive side most of the night. The Rapids found success down the right side in the first half, had players with plenty of space in the middle of Orlando’s defensive third, and lobbed crosses into the box all night long.
