The 2016 MLS regular season has officially ended. The Colorado Rapids have gone unbeaten at home. Two sentences which few thought would be uttered in the same breath at the beginning of this season.
Looking back at the past two campaigns, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park was anything but a fortress. A 6-6-5 record in 2014 and 5-7-5 record in 2015 did little to strike fear in the hearts of those playing at altitude.
This year has been different.
The Rapids have won the same amount of games at home in 2016 than the previous two combined posting an impressive 11-0-6 record.
