We had a rough stretch there for awhile, Rapids faithful. But after clinching a playoff berth last weekend at home, things are looking up. And it could get even better with a win against Houston Dynamo. A win tonight would secure a second place spot in the Western Conference, which means that 1. the Supporters’ Shield is still in reach, and 2. that the Colorado Rapids would get a first round bye in the playoffs, skipping the knockout round.
While the Rapids (13-5-12, 51 points) are pumped up from knocking down the Portland Timbers last week, the Dynamo (7-12-11, 32 points) are coming off a loss to New York City FC.
