The Colorado Rapids have reached the Round of 16 in the 2016 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup and now face a talented and quality FC Dallas side in Frisco, Texas tonight. The Rapids will be looking to advance to the Quarterfinals for the first time since 2006 but more importantly they have a real chance progressing on in the Cup and a chance at a trophy.
The Rapids made it to this round after a 1-0 victory over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on June 14. Dillon Serna picked up the lone goal for the Burgundy Boys netting an 84th minute winner.
