Colorado Rapids Soccer Club announced today that defender Mike da Fonte has been loaned to Phoenix Rising FC of the United Soccer League (USL).
Da Fonte, 26, was signed to a two-year contract on March 14, after spending the 2016 campaign with USL side Sacramento Republic FC and previously New York Red Bulls II.
The Ossining, NY native made his MLS debut in the 2-1 loss at Philadelphia Union on May 20, 2017, starting as a right-back. He went on to appear in 17 matches for the Rapids, including 14 starts during the 2017 campaign.
