The Round of 16 draw as held for the 2016 US Open Cup today and with that the Colorado Rapids learned their opponent for that round and where that match will take place. The Rapids clinched their spot in the Round of 16 by knocking off Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC 1-0 on Tuesday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Rapids were led by a late Dillon Serna goal and solid defensive play to see off a spirited Switchbacks side and with that victory the Rapids advanced to the Round of 16.
