The white kits are back — and in a big way.
The Colorado Rapids on Tuesday released their much-anticipated all-white alternate uniforms for 2019, which they are calling their “Black Diamond” kit.
The new Adidas uniforms feature white jerseys, shorts and socks, with burgundy and silver accents.
“The cloud white color is a nod to the mountain culture and the permanent snowcapped mountains that rise above the Mile High City,” the Rapids said in a release announcing the new look.
The white look replaces the Rapids’ alternate gold jerseys, which drew color inspiration from the state flag and its gold-mining past.
