Colorado ends Dallas’ unbeaten home record with 1-0 win

FRISCO, Texas — Colorado’s Dominique Badji scored and goalkeeper Tim Howard made some key saves while keeping a clean sheet as the Rapids won 1-0 at Dallas on Saturday to close the gap between the top two teams in Major League Soccer’s Western Conference to five points.

The Rapids had gone four games without a win and Dallas had not lost at home all season, and the surprise result gave Colorado hope of catching the Texan team with seven games to play in the regular season.

Badji took a throw-in on the left flank, beat a defender and blasted a right footer past the goalkeeper and into the lower-left corner in the 52nd minute.
