Dave Bolen will be back on the University of Colorado campus Monday as a special guest to watch the running of the annual Bolder Boulder.
With it being an Olympic year race, organizers wanted a Boulder reference to the Summer Games later this summer in Brazil, and Bolen is a perfect choice. He’ll be joined by other Olympians with connections to CU and Boulder.
Sixty-eight years ago, Bolen was the first CU athlete to make a U.S. Olympic team. He ran the 400 meters and finished fourth in the 1948 Summer Games in London.
“I could run the 400 in the area of 46 seconds,” Bolen said last week.
