University of Colorado athletic facilities to have full capacity in fall

The University of Colorado will allow full capacity at all events this fall, according to an announcement on Monday.

A decision that follows suit with the state recently lifting COVID-19 restrictions. CU’s main athletic venues including Folsom Field and the Events Center will no longer limit the number of spectators for games next season.

CU will adhere to county regulations that have yet to be finalized regarding the wearing of masks and/or proof of vaccination.

“All of us, the student-athletes, coaches and staff are looking forward to welcoming back our fans to every one of our venues after playing before mostly empty seats last year,” Colorado athletic director Rick George said in a statement

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance for sporting events was at a minimum for 2020-21 with a mixture of family members and essential personnel granted to be on site.
