Trulsrud Hits The Podium Again to Open Utah Invitational

HUNTSVILLE, Utah — Junior Tonje Trulsrud recorded a podium finish for the third consecutive race, highlighting Colorado's women's giant slalom performance at Snowbasin Resort Thursday on the opening day of the Utah Invitational.

Trulsrud finished third behind a pair of skiers from Denver with her two-run time of 2:23.44. The Pioneers dominated Thursday's women's giant slalom race by placing three skiers inside the top five. DU scored 107 points and holds an early 42½-point lead over second place Utah. Colorado sits in seventh place with 48 points.

It was the 12th podium finish of Trulsrud's career and nine of those have come in the GS.
