Taylor Kornieck had already proven herself against the best, competing in the Conference of Champions each week. But on Sept. 12, 2019, she got her chance against one of the top non-Pac-12 schools in the country, defending national champion Florida State. Kornieck, once again, was up to the task.
The senior scored two goals in a heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss on the road against the Seminoles in Tallahassee, earning the No. 14 spot in our countdown of top performances of 2019-20.
Kornieck lifted the Buffs to a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute, heading in a long service from Stephanie Zuniga.
