USAFA – Colorado women's tennis freshman Betina Tokac advanced to the semifinals of the Bravo division Friday afternoon here on the second day of the Bedford Cup.
The freshman from Turkey defeated her opening opponent after a close first set against Matea Mihaljevic of CSU. She took down the Ram in the first set 7-6(5) in a close tiebreaker, then took the second set with ease 6-1. She advanced to the quarterfinals where she defeated Air Force's Hailey Stelse 6-3, 6-4.
The rest of the Buffaloes dropped their opening match in their respectful divisions, but Ky Ecton, Mila Stanojevic and Antonia Balzert all rallied back in the west consolation round.
