BOULDER – University of Colorado senior Josh Scott has been named one of 10 finalists for the 2016 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award.
Scott made the group of finalists, paired down from 20 on the initial preseason watch list. The award is named after Hall of Famer and three-time NCAA champion Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who played for John Wooden at UCLA from 1966-69.
Scott leads Colorado at 17.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game while shooting 56 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line. He is second on the team in blocked shots (43) and third in assists (46).
