Scott Frost: College football better when CU Buffs, Huskers “running at full speed”

Scott Frost misses the old Big Eight, too. From 1987 through 2002, the football programs at Colorado and Nebraska were giants of the plains, finishing among the final AP Top 25 in the same season nine different times, including on seven straight occasions from 1990-96. It meant something.

“Certainly, there are blueblood programs and Nebraska being one of the best, (and) Colorado being one of those,” Frost, the Cornhuskers’ second-year football coach, told The Denver Post during a recent Big Red booster event in Englewood. “I think college football is better when those programs are running at full speed.
