1. It’s Groundhog Clay.
Good news, USC fans: After the Holiday Bowl, coach Clay Helton said he plans to “go back and evaluate” the football program.
But he won’t just evaluate. Nope. Helton will “evaluate everything.”
And thankfully, the university has given him “the resources, the tools, the support that is needed to take this from good to great.”
So it’s settled.
Next stop: National championship.
Excuse our sarcasm, but it’s the only appropriate reaction to the USC football operation after another sub-standard season …
And the controversial decision to retain Helton ….
