ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — University of Colorado senior Daniel O'Loughlin, competing here as an individual, opened up the NCAA Southwest Regional Monday with a 2-over par 74 effort.
O'Loughlin recorded five birdies, six pars and seven bogeys in his first go-round on the University of New Mexico's Championship Golf Course, which plays at 7,555-yard and to par-72. He was even on the par-3s, which was good for 11th in the 75-man field, 2-under on the par-5s and 4-over on the par-4s.
He opened and closed his day with birdies (Nos. 1 and 18), and had a stretch with five of his bogeys over eight holes.
