LAS VEGAS – Sophomore Sara Nayar powered through another three-set match Saturday for the Colorado Buffaloes tennis in the ITA Mountain Regional Championship to advance to the final Sunday morning.
No.53 Nayar is set for a championship matchup against the No.1-seeded and No.71-ranked Chiara Tomasetti of Northern Arizona Sunday morning at 10 a.m. (MDT). The sophomore played in a pair of matches Saturday, advancing to the finals after completing a comeback against New Mexico's Alisia Manolescu. Nayar dropped the first set 4-6, then took control in the second with a 6-3 win to force a third set.
