BOULDER - Tennis' Sara Nayar and football's Laviska Shenault Jr. were named the CU Athletes of The Week, presented by Arrow, for the week of Oct. 21-27
Nayar, a sophomore from Queensland, Australia, was the ITA Mountain Regional runner-up in singles this past week. Nayar went 5-1 in singles play, falling in the championship to No. 71 Chiara Tomasetti (Northern Arizona). She also partnered with Monica Malinen in doubles. The duo went 3-1, advancing to the semifinals.
Shenault Jr., a sophomore from Desota, Texas, led Colorado with nine catches for 172 yards against Southern Cal.
