National Signing Day 2019: Austin Johnson is a Buff

When Mel Tucker said that he wanted to recruit “massive” linemen in a conference call with the season ticket holders, there is some concern that current linemen, who were instructed to stay right around 300 or under by the former staff, wouldn’t fit that vision (I would bet that Drew Wilson can add some weight). There is no doubt that Austin Johnson fits in the new, destructive version of the Colorado Buffaloes.

Austin Johnson, the 6’4, 280 pound guard from Highlands Ranch High School, is a mauler. He is one of two in-state guards that the Buffs are signing, the other being Jake Wiley.
