The next one, though, he gets to pick.
“What you’re looking for in a quarterback? You’re looking for a winner,” Tucker explained early last week in preparation for the CU Buffs’ visit to No. 6 Utah on Saturday night.
“You’re looking for a winner. There’s a lot that goes into that, but overall, that’s what you have to have. And I believe your quarterback has to be your No. 1 competitor.”
The quarterback Tucker inherited in his first season, Steven Montez, is leaving CU with just about every passing record under the sun.
